National Commander Hans Singer attended primary through secondary school in Germany, after which he entered the German military where he attended Officers Training School, rising to the rank of Fire Brigade Commander. Beginning his firefighting career in the military, Comandante Singer has over 35 years of firefighting service, first in Germany then in Paraguay.

First studying to become a volunteer firefighter in 1973, he served as a volunteer firefighter in Germany until the early 1980's, at which time he emigrated to Paraguay, where he served in the Civil Guard in Colonias Unidas until 1994. He then became an instructor at Colonias Unidas in 1996, at which time he became Commander of Colonias Unidas through 2009, at which time he became the National Commander of Paraguay's Volunteer Firefighters in the JNCBVP.

During that time, he also studied carpentry, emergency medical services (nursing, first aid, Basic Life Support and trauma), firefighting (including Officer's Training, Incident Command, Vehicular Extrication, Search & Rescue, Fire Safety, Flashover & Backdraft, HazMat, EVOC, CBRNE, Leadership in the Fire Service, Disaster Management, Ceremony and Protocol in the Fire Service, etc.), was recognized as Best Volunteer Firefighter within Colonias Unidas during 1998, and somehow had time to maintain his interest in sports, winning numerous medals and certificates for his role in competitive sports.

Concurrent with the above, his community service included service as an Instructor and Commander at Capitan Meza's City Firefighters, Commander at Itapúa's Volunteer Firefighters Association (for 7 years), Vice President of Obligado Local Development Council, Treasurer of PRODECO, Inspector at Colonias Unidas Cooperatives (Matafuegoes Emergency Brigade), Co-Founder San Florian's Limitada Firefighters' Cooperative, Treasurer at San Florian Limitada Firefighters Cooperative's Board of Directors, and in a host of other capacities.

A father of three and farm owner, Hans Singer brings a wealth of international fire service experience along with a lifetime of service to others to the 911 FUND. We are honoured to have him as a member of our International Advisory Board.

El Comandante Nacional, Hans Singer, asistio a la escuela primaria y secundaria en Alemania, después entró al servicio militar Alemán donde asistió a la escuela de entrenamiento para oficiales, elevándose al rango de Comandante de la Brigada de Incendio el cual dió inicio a su carrera de bombero en la milicia. El Comandante Singer tiene más de 35 años en el servicio de lucha contra incendios, inicialmente en Alemania y luego en Paraguay.

Iniciando sus estudios de bombero voluntario en el 1973, sirvio como bombero voluntario en Alemania hasta los comienzos del año 1980 cuando emigró a Paraguay, donde sirvió como guardia civil en Colonias Unidas hasta el año 1994. Posteriormente en el año 1996 fue instructor en Colonias Unidas donde sirvió como Comandante de Colonias Unidas hasta el año 2009 luego convirtiensdose en Comandante Nacional en el Junta Nacional del Cuerpo de Bomberos Voluntarios del Paraguay (JNCBVP).

En ese tiempo, tambien estudió carpinteria, servicios de emergencias médicas (enfermería, primeros auxilios, soporte vital básico y trauma) extinción de incendios (incluyendo entrenamiento para oficiales, command de incidentes, extricación vehicular, búsqueda y rescate, seguridad contra incendios, flashover & backdraft, HazMat, EVOC, CBRNE, liderazgo, gestión de desastres, protocolo y ceremonias, etc.), fue reconocimiento como el Mejor Bombero Voluntario en Colonias Unidas durante el año 1998, además de encontrar tiempo para practicar deportes, de lo cual ha recibido varias medallas y certificados como resultado de su participación en los deportes competitivos.

Simultaneamente con los roles antes descritos, su servicio a la comunidado incluyen Instructor y Comandante de los Bomberos de la ciudad Capitan Meza, Comandante de la Asociación de Bomberos Voluntarios de Itapúa por un período de siete años, Vice Presidente del Consejo de Desarrollo Local de Obligado, Tesorero de PRODECO, Inspector de las Cooperativas de Colonias Unidad (Brigada de Emergencia de Matafuegos), co-fundador de la Cooperativa de Bomberos San Florian Limitada, Tesorero de la Brigada de Bomberos de la Junta de Directores de San Florian Limitada, además de servir en otras capacidades.

Padre de tres niños y propietario de fincas, Comandante Singer trae consigo una vasta experiencia internacional en el servicio de la lucha contra incendios además de una larga trayectoria de servir al prójimo y al Fundación 911. Estamos honrados de tenerlo como miembro de nuestra Junta de Asesores Internacional.
